I'm sure you are expecting raw unadulterated hate because I'm a Patriots fan.  Sorry to disappoint you.
New York fans might think I'm jealous because the Jets are this year's sexy pick to win the AFC East and even the Super Bowl.  
As a Patriots fan, I think it's great.  They have further to fall if they do not make the playoffs.
I won't lie.  I'd enjoy reports of a few thousand Jets fans lining up to jump off the Brooklyn bridge.  Unless their hopes are up...I know because I was a Red Sox fan—but I disagree.
Several variables may fall the Jets' way. The last one is the big one, but these minor ones will have an effect.
 
1)Will LaDainian Tomlinson adapt to his new role as either a back up or a third down back?
He might.  Talent-wise, I think he'd be great as a third down back. But...
I know what he told ESPN. I know about his new tattoo.  
Look at the calendar.  This is late June.
