Houston Texans Seventh-Round Pick Dorin Dickerson Signs Tender

During the 2010 NFL draft, for the second year in a row, and to everyone who follows this team’s bewilderment, the Houston Texans selected two tight ends.
First they took Garrett Graham out of the University of Wisconsin in the fourth round. Graham was a solid pick due to the injury issues plaguing the current veteran tight ends on the roster, and an understandable move.
However, when the Texans selected Dorin Dickerson in the seventh round, the fan base said, “What?”
At a press conference immediately following the draft, head coach Gary Kubiak quickly defended the pick by stating that they intended for Dickerson to play receiver.
Like many of the Texans' draft picks during the Rick Smith administration, Dorin Dickerson is a utility or versatile “football player” that can line up just about anywhere on the field.
