Brett Favre will be returning for his 20th NFL season.
Well, at least that's what every single person believes.
But, how far fetched would it be if this is the exact set up he wanted... to retire.
Brett Favre finds himself in a peculiar position compared to the past few offseasons. Instead of being expected to retire, he is expected to play more.
When Aaron Rodgers was drafted in 2005, Favre's days became numbered. That wasn't exactly what Brett hoped to hear.
As the years wore on, the transition period drew near. Finally, Favre claimed to have enough because the Green Bay Packers didn't want him.
From there he started his first major circus. He had a couple in the past, but nothing like this.
Favre was able to force a trade and became a New York Jet.
Then, that season ended. He retired quickly and many bought thought he was serious about retiring again.
