Philadelphia Eagles Facts of Life: Two More Birds Drop in Practice

It's been just two days of training camp since the pads went on and the team conducted hitting drills, and already, key players are being injured according to Jeff McLane of Philly.com.
It started with WR DeSean Jackson needing to be carted off the field with what is now being reported as back spasms, and LB Stewart Bradley encountered a pulled hamstring.
Now, just today both starting CB Asante Samuel and newly acquired backup RB Mike Bell have battle wounds of their own; both players needed a cart to make their way off the field.
My question is this, is it simply that players are not completely stretched before participating in practice? Are they not hydrated enough?
What exactly is forcing these players to sustain such needless, yet sometimes unavoidable injuries?
