Byrd Man Will Fly High Again: Demetrius Byrd’s Road to Recovery

With all due respect to hip hop artist Birdman. Former LSU standout wide receiver Demetrius Byrd is the true "Byrd Man" that deserves your attention. On July 22nd, 2010 I had an interview with Demetrius Byrd on my sports talk show on Mike'd Up on EricPedigo.com
I learned a lot from that interview and here's what you need to know. What you probably know about Byrd is his amazing catch in 2007 vs Auburn while playing for the LSU Tigers in which Byrd made a last second touchdown catch to capture the win for his team.
Here's what you might not have known. Byrd started his football career in Pop Warner as most kids do only played one year of high school football at Miami Central. More importantly Byrd began his collegiate career at Pearl River Community College in which he was a first team All-American and acknowledges that as one of his biggest accomplishments.
