New York Jets: Is Darrelle Revis Signing an Extension Or Not?

Given the city's reputation for Broadway, I guess it should come as little surprise that drama finds the New York Jets even when the team doesn't seek out attention. (Okay, it's been a few years since the Jets have flown under the radar).
The most recent theatrical production is a mystery. Thanks to ProFootballTalk.com for providing some of the juicy details.
A mystery called "Is All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis finally going to end his holdout by signing a contract extension?" The alternate title to this new release is called "Speculation, what is it good for?"
Dallas Morning News columnist Tim Cowlishaw opened the week (show) by predicting via Twitter that a deal for Revis would be consummated on Wednesday.
Adding to the intrigue, no other media outlet or source had any word of this rumored deal. Meanwhile, the Jets and Revis' camp had agreed to not release any details of negotiations to the media.
