2010 NFL Draft: Ted Ginn Jr. Acquistion Means Drafting of Spiller or WR Unlikely

The acquisition of Ted Ginn today means that it is very unlikely that the 49ers will use a first round pick on CJ Spiller or draft a WR in the first three rounds.
Spiller's supporters touted his ability to help in the return game and make the offense more dynamic as reasons to use a first round pick on the RB out of Clemson. Ginn covers the need for a return man and bringing him to the team will likely result in Niner fans seeing a lot more three receiver sets with Ginn, Morgan and Crabtree.
Frank Gore is still only 26 years old and is a back that needs a lot of carries to get him going. Spiller would only see very limited time on the field and the Niners would be better served using a first round pick on someone who can get on the field for more downs per game.
This does not mean that the 49ers won't draft a change of pace back. If they address their RT hole in the first they may look to Jahvid Best if he is available in the second or Dexter McCluster in another round....
