2010 NFL Season Preview: Evaluating The Impact Of The Top 10 Suspensions

As citizens of this country, we are all bound by laws and regulations that we must obey. Whether one is a teacher, politician, or even a professional athlete, it doesn't matter. The law is above us all and makes no exceptions. Rules exist in all areas of life. For example, if a student were to cheat on a test at school, he would be disciplined by the principal. In the NFL, Commissioner Roger Goodell runs his league in a similar fashion. He has his own code of conduct that each player is required to agree to. Failing to do so will result in a corresponding suspension and loss of the golden privilege it is to play football with the hope that he will become a better man. Heading into the upcoming season, several players have been sentenced to a suspension. With some of them being integral pieces to their team, the impact of their absences could be disastrous.
