2011 NFL Draft: Larry Fitzgerald Gets a Franchise Quarterback in Blaine Gabbert

After going to the Super Bowl with Kurt Warner and then quickly falling towards the bottom of the very subpar NFC West, the Cardinals are now once again searching for a signal caller to lead them back to the playoffs.
 
While Cam Newton is more like head coach Ken Whisenhunt's last franchise quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, Gabbert is a more polished, NFL ready, accurate passer that is likely a better fit for the Arizona offense. 
 
John Skelton is in the mix and played well enough last year, but if the Cardinals aren't able to go after Kevin Kolb, Carson Palmer, or Donovan McNabb in free agency (thanks to the Lockout), they could look at the draft to solve their short and long term quarterback issue.
