Improvements to defensive line and secondary should make Steelers defense more dominant
What do you do if you have one of the best defenses in all of football? If you're the Pittsburgh Steelers you make it even better.
Despite already having the best run defense in the game the Steelers used their first round pick on defensive end Cameron Heyward. His ability to stop the run will make them even more fierce, while his versatility should allow him to rush the QB effectively.

In the third and fourth rounds the Steelers added cornerbacks Curtis Brown and Cortez Allen. Both corners have exceptional cover skills and should fight for playing time on certain downs.
In perhaps their best value, they picked up linebacker Chris Carter in the fifth round. Analysts tabbed him as the sixth best linebacker in the draft and most had expected him to be gone prior to his selection by the Steelers.
