Complacency, bad play killed the Cowboys in 2010

The Cowboys did not have the kind of 2010 season anyone in the organization expected them to have.

I will take full credit for sniffing out the 2010 Cowboys as a fraud very early on and getting killed for it in the comments in the first month of the season whenever I put them near the bottom of my power rankings.

However, the Cowboys looked so bad in the preseason, it seemed to me there was something wrong with the team. When they came out of the gates flat, it was all I needed to see.

The Wade Phillips era had run its course and it was obvious in the way many players, especially guys like Mike Jenkins, lollygagged their way through the games.
