2011 NFL Draft: The Titans Stop the Nick Fairley Fall, Scoop Him Up at #8

After the BCS Championship game win and the overall domination that Nick Fairley of Auburn showed throughout his breakout junior season, Fairley seemed in the discussion for a top three pick selection.

 

However, with reports now of his character concerns both on and off the field, questions about his length, and one-year wonder college career, Fairley may not be in the mix so much any more, with much safer picks such as Patrick Peterson, AJ Green, Marcell Dareus, and Von Miller all projected to go ahead of him.

 

Add those four guys plus two more quarterbacks, and Fairely could be battling for a Top 10 selection. Fairley could become the heir apparent to Albert Haynesworth in Tennessee and solidify that defensive line as among the best in the AFC, with the hope that he doesn't cause as much drama as Haynesworth did during his time with the Titans.
