2011 NFL Mock Draft Has USC Tackle Tyron Smith Heading East To Philadelphia Eagles
Wes O'Donnell's Pick: The offensive tackle rankings vary as much as any position in this draft and now the Philadelphia Eagles, who were ready to gamble on Colorado's cornerback Jimmy Smith, get a shot at the one tackle that could truly be elite, USC's Tyron Smith.
Philadelphia likes to build in the trenches early on but there is only one, possibly two, tackles in this draft that I think appeal to them. Nate Solder, Gabe Carimi and Anthony Castonzo are all off the board already leaving Smith the lone tackle prospect worth drafting here and he happens to be one of the two that fit. 
Smith only played right tackle at USC and ironically enough that fits perfectly for the Philadelphia Eagles and their left-handed scrambler, Michael Vick. The Eagles need as much help as possible up front because Vick, who is always on the move, is also very fragile.
