Tampa Bay Adds Aldon Smith With The 20th Pick In The 2011 NFL Draft
Tampa Bay had a fantastic 2010 season. They destroyed all expectations by winning 10 games, and coming within an eyelash of making the postseason. Not bad for a team that was supposed to be one of the worst in football this year.
Raheem Morris established himself as a great coach, and quarterback Josh Freeman had a breakout year in his second season.
The one area where the Buccaneers really need help is in the pass rush. They finished 30th in the NFL, with only 26 sacks on the season.
Missouri defensive end Aldon Smith has moved into the first-round mix with his combination of speed, athleticism and potential. Smith does need work, but if things go well he can be an elite pass rusher for a long time to come.
