Cam Newton Selection Drops Marcell Dareus To 3rd In 2011 NFL Mock Draft
And this is where the NFL Draft gets juicy!
Marcell Dareus has long been considered the favorite to go first overall. And with good reason. He's big, strong, comes from a great program, and should have an immediate impact up front on any NFL defense, be it 4-3 or 3-4.
But with the buzz over Cam Newton growing in recent weeks, it's entirely possible that the Carolina Panthers roll the dice and nab the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and National Champion.

And since the Denver Broncos seem to be in love with Von Miller, I don't see them altering their choice at the second spot, even if Dareus is on the board and can help out a pretty horrible run defense.
