2011 NFL Mock Draft Has Experts Thinking Cam Jordan and Muhammad Wilkerson for the Chargers
Muhammad Wilkerson of Temple has exploded up draft boards given the potential he exhibits and his ability to play both defensive tackle and defensive end with his promising combination of size and speed. He has 68 tackles and 10 sacks for the Owls in his junior season and was basically unblockable. Mel Kiper thinks he needs another year to be a top-10 pick, but I think his potential alone could see him close to the top 15 already.
Kiper: Cameron Jordan, DE, Cal
San Diego could go a few ways with this pick, but for a team that feels close to being back among the NFL elite, Jordan is a guy ready to help immediately. An experienced player who thrived as a 3-4 defensive end at Cal, he should adapt quickly and provide early production.
