2011 NFL Mock Draft Has Four of Five Experts Saying Cardinals Won't Be Able to Grab Blaine Gabbert
Blaine Gabbert's stock has fluctuated so much this year that I'm surprised he isn't seeing a therapist to cope.
People are even becoming divided as to whether Cam Newton should be selected before him.
He doesn't have the stats in college to impress, but, then again, that's not what scouts and experts look at as closely as, say, mechanics and accuracy.
I consider Gabbert to be a legitimate top-5 pick, but he's nowhere near that in comparison to some of the players surrounding him. He won't drop far given so many teams are looking for quarterbacks, but to call him a top-5 player is not accurate. He could be a starting quarterback in the NFL, but he doesn't project as highly as some of these other prospects.
