2011 NFL Mock Draft: Will the Jaguars Strike Gold with First-Round Pick?

The Jaguars need to improve their pass rush if they are going to make the playoffs in 2011

The Jaguars are not in the mix for a quarterback, so it helps clarify who they will be looking to take in the first-round on draft day.

Ryan Kerrigan has been mocked here in the past, but today it is Aldon Smith. Smith is one of the top names in the draft, and the Jaguars will look to capitalize on his talents in 2011.

Head coach Jack Del Rio has been told he has to make the playoffs in 2011 or his job is in jeopardy. The Colts are vulnerable, and with Smith coming at Manning twice a year, the Jaguars could get over the hump and into the playoffs.

The Jaguars have a lot of good options with this pick, and they could take Kerrigan, Cameron Heyward or Adrian Clayborn. No matter what the name on the card is, the Jaguars will have a better pass rush in 2011.
