The NFL offseason has several stages—the franchise tag deadline, free-agency opening, etc.—but no event is more built up or hyped as the NFL draft.
It's a day of hope for every team with a high pick and a chance to build on a good thing for the franchises that are sitting at the end of the first round. Fans have a reason for optimism as every team is fighting to make the moves that will get it to the playoffs.
While the big story coming into the draft is where each of the top-tier quarterbacks will fall, teams feeling comfortable behind center already will also have a plethora of talented college athletes to choose from on May 8.
