This week’s Monday Night Football matchup will feature the San Francisco 49ers (6-4) going head-to-head with the Washington Redskins (3-7) in a battle of teams trying to stay relevant in their respective divisions.
San Francisco sits second in the NFC West and will be fighting this week to build momentum moving forward. The 49ers will have to find success Monday and through the rest of the season to make the playoffs via a wild-card berth.
Washington’s only hope is to win the division.
Despite having only three victories, the Redskins aren’t out of the picture just yet. If the franchise can find a rhythm against San Francisco and steal a marquee win on Monday night, there is a chance that the team could conceivably win the awful NFC East.
