The San Francisco 49ers take to the road and face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2 of the 2015 NFL season.
This Week 2 bout kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
It's a homecoming of sorts for new head coach Jim Tomsula, who will face off against his boyhood favorite team. But for the 49ers, the contest provides yet another opportunity for them to demonstrate their prowess despite all the offseason changes.
San Francisco is dealing with a short week after debuting on Monday Night Football in Week 1, while Pittsburgh is coming off an extended break after opening up the season on September 10.
The lack of time off works against the 49ers, so that will be a point to watch during the contest.
Still, the 49ers will look to halt quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and all his offensive prowess while getting their own offense against a questionable Steelers defense.
