A Steelers Victory over the Chargers Begins with Pressuring Philip Rivers

There are numerous things that the Pittsburgh Steelers must do, and do correctly, to leave San Diego with a win over the Chargers on Monday night. But in order to limit the damage Chargers such as Keenan Allen, Danny Woodhead and a returning Antonio Gates can do, the Steelers must start by bringing pressure on Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers early and often.
Through four games, Rivers has been sacked 12 times behind an offensive line lacking its starting left tackle, left guard and center.
It's not the most a quarterback has been sacked so far this season, and it hasn't hindered Rivers terribly, given that he leads the league in passing yards. But there's no better way to get in a quarterback's head than by bringing pressure regularly, and the Steelers have been masterful in doing so this season.
