49ers Worked Out Dobson Tuesday, Sept. 13 Maiocco noted the workout occurred on Tuesday, but "it is not believed that a signing is imminent." He also said the receiver reportedly worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets since the Patriots cut him before the 2016 season.
Dobson has dealt with injuries throughout his career after the Patriots selected him in the second round of the 2013 draft. According to Maiocco, he suffered a stress fracture in his foot during his rookie campaign and played in 12 games. That marked a career high, as a hamstring injury in 2014 limited him to four contests, and an ankle sprain last year limited him to eight.
