Alex Mack to Move Before Tuesday?Sunday, Nov. 1Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the Browns are considering moving on from center Alex Mack and left tackle Joe Thomas.
Mack, 29, has been with the Browns since being selected No. 21 overall in 2009. The California product is a two-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro, emerging alongside Thomas as a consistent fixture on the interior. After playing all 16 games in his first five seasons, he was limited to five in 2014 due to a broken fibula and hasn't quite returned to form through Cleveland's first seven contests.
Pro Football Focus ranks Mack 13th among centers in its overall grades. He grades out just barely above league average overall, which isn't ideal for a player making $8 million to anchor the interior, per Spotrac.
