Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery figures to be one of the hottest free agents available if he hits the open market this offseason, but his status remains in a state of flux as the Chicago Bears decide how to handle his situation.

Report: Bears Undecided on Jeffery's Status Friday, Feb. 19 According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Chicago using the franchise tag on Jeffery is possible; however, no decision has been made in that regard, and there is a chance the star wideout becomes an unrestricted free agent.
The 26-year-old Jeffery is a former Pro Bowler who already has two 1,000-yard receiving seasons under his belt in just four NFL campaigns.
He almost certainly would have registered a third in 2015 if not for the fact that he missed seven games due to injury. Even so, he still ended up with 54 receptions for 807 yards and four touchdowns in just nine contests.
