Andre Johnson Remains Interested in Playing in NFL

Veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson is on the market after being cut by the Indianapolis Colts in March. The 34-year-old—he'll be 35 by the start of the 2016 season—revealed Wednesday to ESPN.com's Tania Ganguli that he wants to play next year.   
"I'm just training right now and waiting for an opportunity," Johnson said. "When that comes, I'll take advantage of it."
Johnson was one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL over his first 12 years with the Houston Texans. He was by far the franchise's best receiver, holding top marks with 1,012 receptions, 13,597 yards and 64 touchdowns. 
He managed to amass such numbers despite not having an elite quarterback during his entire tenure in Houston. Whether it was David Carr, Matt Schaub or Ryan Fitzpatrick, Johnson was a consistent, big (6'3", 219 lbs), safe target who could make any kind of catch.
