One of the Jets biggest losses of the off-season also led to one of their biggest gains.  I am referring to the Jets allowing Thomas Jones to leave as a free agent and the signing of LaDainian Tomlinson to replace him.
TJ was a warrior for the Jets over the past 3 years rushing for 3,833 yards and scoring 30 touchdowns.  He was the main component to the the Jets "Ground and Pound" offense that led the NFL last season in rushing attempts.  The one negative on Jones is that he is not much a of a receiver out of the back field.  He was known on and off the field as a team leader and a positive influence in the locker room.  His departure from the Jets left many players and fans upset.
