Beanie Wells Injury Update: Arizona Cardinals RB Active, Starting vs. Minnesota

Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells is active and will start for the Arizona Cardinals as they head to the Metrodome to take on the Minnesota Vikings. Wells injured his back during the Cardinals' dramatic loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8, and he had to sit out the end of the fourth quarter with the injury.

Wells missed time earlier this year with hamstring injuries, allowing veteran running back Tim Hightower to emerge as the team's leading rusher. Wells, however, has since supplanted the fumble-prone Hightower, and last week Wells carried the bulk of the rushing load for Arizona.

Since Wells is active, expect him to get the most carries for Arizona, although it's no sure bet how effective he will be against the Minnesota run defense.
