Blizzard Forces Matchup Between Giants and Vikings To Monday Night

Sunday's matchup in Minnesota between the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants has been moved to Monday night. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello announced the postponement this evening. According to some media outlets, there is speculation that the game may be postponed until Tuesday evening.
Aiello was quoted as saying, "Due to the severe weather conditions and on the recommendation of Metrodome officials, the Giants-Vikings game will be moved to Monday night. The kickoff time at the Metrodome and television arrangements will be announced as soon as they are determined."
Further details have yet to be outlined. It is known that the Vikings players will be spending tonight in a Minneapolis hotel, as is customary when playing home games. Vikings offensive lineman Bryant McKinnie tweeted this evening that he was allowing two hours for his commute to the Minneapolis hotel, a drive that would normally take around 20 minutes.
