Brandon Browner: Latest News, Rumors, Speculation Surrounding Saints CB’s Future

While the New Orleans Saints have yet to cut ties with cornerback Brandon Browner, it appears as though his tenure with the organization will soon come to an end.

Report: Browner Expected to Be Released Wednesday, Feb. 24 According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the veteran defensive back is expected to be released after the new league year begins March 9.
This comes on the heels of ESPN's John Clayton reporting on Feb. 5 that the Saints intended to move on from Browner, per ESPN.com.
The 31-year-old former Pro Bowler seemed to confirm Clayton's report when he tweeted his goodbyes to New Orleans after just one season with the team:
According to Florio, terminating the remainder of Browner's three-year, $15 million deal will result in $2.6 million counting against the salary cap, but it will also allow the franchise to avoid a $750,000 roster bonus due on the third day of the league year.
