Fresh off his release from the New England Patriots, wide receiver Brandon LaFell may be on the verge of finding a new AFC home.

Bengals Monitoring LaFell Wednesday, March 16 Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official website reported LaFell was coming to Cincinnati for a visit. LaFell, 29, spent the last two seasons in New England. He recorded 37 receptions for 515 yards last season, failing to record a touchdown for the first time in his career. The reception total was exactly half of what he did in 2014.
Part of the issue was injuries. LaFell was limited to a career-low 11 games thanks to a foot problem that wound up limiting his explosiveness throughout the campaign. He began the year on the physically unable to perform list and wound up essentially playing catchup the rest of the way.
The Patriots released LaFell earlier this month rather than carry his $3.675 million cap number.
