Brandon Lloyd Says Chemistry Not There Yet with Tom Brady, ‘It Just Takes Time’

The timing of wide receiver Brandon Lloyd's arrival in New England couldn't have been better; the Patriots were in need of a veteran receiver who has some big-play ability and could pick up the offense in a hurry. As of yet, though, the timing between Lloyd and quarterback Tom Brady isn't great. At least, Lloyd doesn't think so.
"Not yet. It just takes time," Lloyd said. "We're continuing to talk and work together, and see what one another is expecting out of the route running, and eventually we'll just start clicking."
Lloyd added that it's "way too early" to see the potential for it to start to come together, and Brady added that the two "have extra work that we have to put in."
The two may still be gaining familiarity with each other, but their familiarity with the offense is a good place to start. The Patriots have struggled to find receivers that can pick up the offense quickly, and Lloyd has been highly productive for Josh McDaniels, who coached him ...
