Brandon Marshall Cleared of Wrongdoing in Civil Suit over 2012 Incident

New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall was cleared of wrongdoing in a civil lawsuit Friday stemming from a 2012 incident in which he was accused of punching a woman. 
According to the Associated Press, Christin Myles lost her suit against Marshall when the jury in New York decided she hadn't proved the superstar wideout struck her outside a Manhattan nightclub.
Per Seth Walder of the New York Daily News, a juror explained the reasoning behind the verdict:
Walder also reported that Marshall's lawyers will file a motion to recoup the legal costs incurred due to the suit.
According to the Associated Press, Myles said she knew Marshall punched her because she saw his tattooed forearm, but the video that was used for evidence reportedly showed Marshall wearing sleeves at the time of the incident.
