Brandon Marshall, Jets Agree to New Contract: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall has a new team this season, as he will play for the New York Jets, and he now has a new contract to go along with it.
According to ESPN.com's Field Yates and Rich Cimini, the 31-year-old wideout restructured his deal; it is now worth $26 million over the next three years rather than the previous $24.3 million.
The Jets acquired Marshall in an offseason trade with the Chicago Bears, and in order to ensure that they would land the five-time Pro Bowler, they promised to revise his contract, per Cimini:
While Marshall has been one of the best pass-catchers in the league since entering the NFL in 2006, he is coming off a tough season that saw him catch just 61 passes for 721 yards and eight touchdowns, as he missed three games and was hampered in others due to injury.
With his stock seemingly lower than it has been in quite some time, Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk is surprised that Marshall was able to secure a better contract:
