Breaking News: Patriots Bring Back WR Deion Branch To Replace Moss

The New England Patriots needed a big-play receiver after trading Randy Moss, so they turned to an old friend.
The Patriots re-acquired Deion Branch from the Seattle Seahawks for a fourth-round pick in next year's draft, NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi reported Monday night, citing a league source.
The trade came on the same day that Seahawks coach Pete Carroll gave wide receiver Deion Branch what he called a "personal day."
Carroll said after Monday's practice that he expected Branch's reason for being away from the team was personal. Branch was in Louisville, Ky., over the weekend to have his number retired at the University of Louisville, where he played college football.
Carroll also said he expected Branch to be with the team Wednesday when the Seahawks begin preparing for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. That won't be the case.
