The Carolina Panthers hosting the Arizona Cardinals Week 15 seems like a dud on paper, yet there are actually a lot of interesting storylines entering this contest.
Steve Smith and Larry Fitzgerald, two of the elite wide receivers in the league, will try to outshine the other with rookie quarterbacks Jimmy Clausen and John Skelton attached to their hips.
Two below average defenses will try to contain these two superstars and also four solid running backs in Carolina’s Jonathan Stewart and Mike Goodson and Arizona’s Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower.
The Cardinals will try to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win.
The Panthers would be lucky enough to lose and stay at the bottom of the NFL. If they land the No. 1 pick in April’s NFL Draft, they could become instant winners. They would have the best opportunity to land Stanford’s quarterback Andrew Luck.
