Chad Henne Re-Signs with Jaguars: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

The Jacksonville Jaguars and backup quarterback Chad Henne reportedly reached an agreement Thursday on a two-year, $8 million contract extension.
Rand Getlin of the NFL Network first reported the news and noted the new deal also includes incentives. Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union confirmed the re-signing.
Henne didn't see the field at all during the 2015 campaign. Second-year starter Blake Bortles played all 16 games for Jacksonville and showcased a lot of improvement, increasing his passer rating from 69.5 as a rookie to 88.2 in his second season.
The 30-year-old veteran backup did make 28 appearances, including 22 starts, over the previous three seasons. His numbers in those games were right in line with his merely average performance across four years with the Miami Dolphins, as he tallied 27 touchdowns and 26 interceptions.
