Chris Culliver Released by Redskins: Latest Comments and Reaction

Washington released cornerback Chris Culliver on Monday, general manager Scot McCloughan announced, per the team.  
Culliver, 27, accumulated 16 tackles in six games with the team last season.
The release comes just one season after Culliver signed a four-year, $32 million contract with the team. Any guarantees in his contract for 2016 were rendered null after he was suspended a game last season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, per Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk, making his release financially viable for Washington.
