Chris Thompson Injury: Updates on Redskins RB’s Recovery from Shoulder Surgery

Following a solid 2015 season as the Washington Redskins' third-down running back, Chris Thompson is set to undergo shoulder surgery.

Thompson to Undergo Shoulder Surgery Wednesday, Jan. 27 The third-year back tweeted the news Wednesday:
Thompson finished the 2015 campaign with 216 rushing yards and 35 receptions for 240 yards and two touchdowns.
According to Rich Tandler of CSNMidAtlantic.com, Thompson suffered a torn labrum in November, although he managed to finish out the season and play in Washington's playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The 25-year-old Florida State alum has a history of shoulder issues, as he was placed on injured reserve with a torn labrum in his left shoulder in 2013.
Despite his track record, Thompson seemed unconcerned when asked about the severity of the injury and the magnitude of the surgery:
