Cliff Lee Proves Again Why The Phillies Are The Big Winners Here
We now interrupt your regularly scheduled football news to talk some baseball. There is a lockout and I am a big Cliff Lee fan, so deal with it.
The Indians, who believed they were selling high on Cliff Lee when they traded him a few years ago, continue to lose while Lee keeps . . . wait for it . . . WINNING!
Cliff Lee notched 11 strike outs in seven innings en route to a 9-4 win over the Houston Astros on Saturday. His performance was brilliant, and the crowd showed its appreciation several times.
Phil Sheridan of the Philadelphia Inquirer described the scene:
"He got one for walking from the bullpen to the dugout, a loud, rollicking roar that started in right-center field and rolled across the ballpark.
