Latest on Quarterback Battle Friday, Oct. 7 Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported there is discontent with Kelly's offense in the 49ers locker room, and it's getting harder for him to sell Gabbert as the starter. 
The 49ers are 1-4 on the season and won’t take the field again until Sunday, Oct. 16 after playing on Thursday. That gives Kelly more time than a typical game week to evaluate the quarterback spot, and he said, “we’re going to look at everything,” per Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.
