Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones: “A Quarterback to Draft Is a Future Consideration”

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says that he’s fielding calls about trading down in the 2011 National Football League draft. Jones states that two teams have inquired about the pick and that he “feels good about the quality of the players down through that ninth and 10th draft position.”
Knowing that Jerry is considering trading down in the draft, does that mean he wants to go after Wisconsin defensive end J.J. Watt? Watt amassed 11 sacks in his two years as starting end for the Badgers, and with the team allowing starting defensive end Marcus Spears to test free agency, Watt may be high on Jones’ list.
The team is also pretty low on linebacker Anthony Spencer, with some considering the former Purdue Boilermaker a bust. Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller had 33 total sacks in his college career, and with his 6’3”, 243-pound frame, he’s versatile enough to make a huge impact for the Cowboys off of the edge.
