The San Francisco 49ers enjoyed a 23-6 preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys in their 2015 Levi's Stadium debut on Saturday night.
Field conditions were a part of the concern leading into the contest, as were some of the 49ers' issues from their first exhibition contest against the Houston Texans a week before. But neither the field nor a general lack of consistency hampered San Francisco's efforts against its longtime rival.
San Francisco held Dallas scoreless until the fourth quarter. And the 49ers also enjoyed some standout defensive play from a number of noteworthy cast members.
Linebacker NaVorro Bowman saw his first snaps since the 2014 NFC Championship game two seasons ago. Rookie safety Jaquiski Tartt had some big hits. And nose tackle Mike Purcell continued his strong preseason campaign with an interception returned for a touchdown.
