Craig Stevens Re-Signs with Titans: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

The Tennessee Titans re-signed backup tight end Craig Stevens Thursday.
"We're glad to have him back," Titans general manager Jon Robinson said.
John Glennon of the Tennessean reported it's a one-year deal.
Stevens, 31, made 12 receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns in 2015. He has spent his entire NFL career with Tennessee, which drafted him out of California in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft. Working mostly as a role player on special teams and as a blocker, Stevens has made just 60 receptions in his career but has quietly been an integral member of the team.
“He’s always doing the dirty work,” tight end Delanie Walker said in December, per Glennon. “He’s out there grinding every play and blocking.”
The Titans will likely continue relying on Stevens in the same role. Walker is a Pro Bowler who made 94 receptions last season, and backup Anthony Fasano is also a better pass-catching option. Both are unde...
