Daily Haze: DeSean Jackson, Antonio Gates and Other Injury Updates

I covered several Week 6 injuries in yesterday’s Monday Morning Rehab, but there were so many it deserved another post.
Just a day later, at that.
Of all the injuries suffered this week in the NFL, none looked worse than the concussion DeSean Jackson suffered. You can see the video here, if you dare. His injury and that one suffered by Antonio Gates are two of the more devastating fantasy football injuries from Sunday’s action.
DeSean Jackson, WR, Eagles
It sounds more and more likely that Jackson will not only miss Week 7 but also several weeks after that.
His status is week-to-week at the moment.
Fantasy owners who need a spot starter could pick up Jason Avant of the Eagles, who will step into Jackson’s starting spot.
Antonio Gates, TE, Chargers
Gates is day-to-day but was unable to put any pressure on his leg after the loss to the Rams yesterday. He was wearing a walking boot.
