Dallas Cowboys Fire Only One Coach: What Does This Mean For The 2011 NFL Season?

You may be asking, what does firing Wade Phillips have to do with next season? Let's just look at it from a different view.
This just isn’t the season for the Dallas Cowboys is it? Not only do they stink on the football field, but they can’t even fire both of their head coaches.
Why can't they fire both head coaches, you ask? He should fire Garrett too! Do it now! And I agree, but there is a reason why he didn‘t fire Jason Garrett—Jones needs Garrett for next season.
Now before you think I have just started drinking the happy juice a little too early in the day, Jones needs a coach for next season, if there is a season. I have your cogs moving, don’t I?
The reason why Garrett remains employed isn’t because he did a great job last season. It was because Jones knows the 2011 season could be on hold if a new collective bargaining agreement isn't reached. Why waste the money on a new head coach right now with things in the air?
