DeAngelo Williams Injury: Updates on Steelers RB’s Recovery from Knee Surgery

Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams reportedly underwent knee surgery, which will force him to miss multiple games.

Latest on Williams' Timetable for Return Thursday, Nov. 10 According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Williams is expected to miss between two and three weeks.
This is another setback for Williams, who was carted off the field in Week 17 last season and missed the playoffs. He also appeared in only six games for the Carolina Panthers in 2014.
He has rushed for 276 yards and three touchdowns this year—with the majority of his production coming during Le'Veon Bell's league-imposed three-game suspension at the start of the season. 
The Steelers turned to Fitzgerald Toussaint in Week 17 last year after Williams went out, and they could do so again. However, Toussaint had only 24 carries coming into the 2016 campaign, so Pittsburgh will likely rely on Bell in the running game.
