DeMarcus Ware Injury: Updates on Broncos Star’s Back and Recovery

The Denver Broncos' high-powered defensive line will reportedly be without a key piece to start training camp, as star linebacker DeMarcus Ware is battling an injury to his back. It is uncertain when he will return to action.

Ware Placed on NFL Non-Football Injury List Wednesday, July 27 NFL Network's James Palmer relayed the update and noted that Ware battled back problems throughout the 2015 season and this offseason. 

Ware Will Be Big Piece of Broncos Title Defense Ware's role with the Broncos has changed since joining the team in 2014. He went from a starting defensive end before transitioning to a third-down specialist as a pass-rushing linebacker last season. 
Age certainly played a factor in Ware's decision to make the change, as he is 33 years old and not as durable as he was during his peak in Dallas. Last year, for instance, he missed four games battling nagging back pain.
