Desmond Trufant Injury: Updates on Falcons Star’s Shoulder and Return

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant suffered a shoulder injury Thursday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Trufant Leaves Game Thursday, Nov. 3 D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Trufant's injury.
If he misses any games, it would the first time in his four years in the league. He appeared in 16 games in each of his first three years and in the first eight of this season.
During that span in 2016, he's recorded 27 tackles and one interception.
However, he experienced some injury issues even before taking the field for competitive play, injuring his hip during training camp, though he only missed a few days of practice.
Since being taken 22nd overall in 2013, former Washington Huskies standout Trufant has developed into the Falcons' best corner, recording six interceptions and 44 pass deflections over his first three seasons.
