Thanks for 11 seasons of exceptional football, for taking a franchise that hadn’t played for an NFC title since 1980, to five conference championship games and it's first Super Bowl appearance in 24 years.
Sorry your introduction to the city was marred by boos from a small group of dolts who probably still think Ricky Williams would’ve been a better draft pick (and who likely have to look up the meaning of the word "dolt".)
Sorry for having to make do for most of your tenure with a wide receiver corps comprised of marginal talent like Charles Johnson, Torrance Small, Na Brown, Billy McMullen, Todd Pinkston, Greg Lewis, and Reggie Brown.
Sorry you had to take shots from the disparate likes of Rush Limbaugh and a local NAACP leader trying to make a name for himself.
Sorry, too, for taking verbal blows from Bernard Hopkins, a great athlete who doesn’t have to compete in a team sport, and Terrell Owens, who has 25 million reasons ...
